Executive Director
Kacie Talley

Hello, my name is Kacie Talley. I am so honored to join Habitat for Humanity of Pope County, AR as the Executive Director.

I have lived in Pope County my entire life and have spent the last 11 years working in the medical field, first for the American Cancer Society, Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center and most recently with Gentiva Hospice. My family has been blessed with eight beautiful children. I adopted five during four years of being a foster parent, and added the final three when I married my husband, Bryan, in 2022. We also have the two cutest granddaughters!

I am proud to call Pope County home and thankful to have had the opportunity to raise my kids here. I love this county and believe there is so much potential. We have so many wonderful places of employment, churches and community organizations and beautiful locations all over the county that are perfect for every outdoor lover. Most importantly, we have the kindest people.

Since joining Habitat I have been approached by so many people who are in need of our help to create their own version of the American Dream. We don’t all want a huge home with the white picket fence. Some people just crave the security and comfort of knowing they are in a home that is theirs. A floor plan that was chosen with them in mind. Walls and cabinets that they picked the exact color of. A strong roof that will protect their family from the weather. A mortgage that is affordable for their budget, that will allow them to still take care of their family and have a place to call home all at the same time. That is what we provide! The peace of mind that comes with this is absolutely unbelievable and I am so thankful that God made me for such a time as this, to be able to step in to help this amazing organization continue to grow in our community.

Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, communities and hope by putting God’s love into action. I can’t think of anything I would rather do. I pray that our organization continues to grow, and I ask that if you feel led to be involved in such an amazing ministry, in any capacity (donor/volunteer/prayer partner/etc) that you reach out. I would love to hear from you!

Eligibility Requirements

Please review the information below that explains several things required to participate in this unique program.
  • Potential Habitat homeowners must demonstrate a need for safe,
affordable housing. Needs will vary from community to community.
  • Prospective households are low to moderate income. In the U.S., we
serve families whose income does not exceed 60% of the area median
income as defined for the area by the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development. Homeowner eligibility and selection take place at the
local level and it can vary from community to community.
  • Once selected, Habitat homeowners must partner with us throughout the
process. This partnership includes performing “sweat equity,” or helping
to build their own home or the homes of others in our homeownership
program. Sweat equity can also include taking homeownership classes or
    performing volunteer work.
  • Homeowners must also be able and willing to pay an affordable
mortgage. Habitat makes a reasonable effort to ensure that an affordable
mortgage does not exceed 30% of the homeowner’s gross monthly income.
Mortgage payments are cycled back into the community to help build
    additional Habitat houses.
